Land and Houses achieved a gold plaque for wastewater management

Mr. Anucha Sasomsub ( right) Assistant Minister of Natural Resources and Environment awarded a plaque in honor of the source of pollution that passed the wastewater management assessment criteria at the gold level to Mr. Somkiat Yindeesompong (left) Vice President, Service and Customer Relations Department, Land and Houses Public Company Limited on the occasion that the Project Mantana Srinakarin – Bangna and Mantana 2 Bangna km. 7 have achieved excellent results in compliance with the environmental law ( at the gold level) of the fiscal year 2022 which Land and Houses Public Company Limited is the only real estate company to receive the gold award on October 6^th, 2022

The presentation of this honorable plaque is an operation of the Pollution Control Department by the Environment and Pollution Control office 1-16 under the pollution source control project to encourage compliance with environmental laws. The objective is to honor the organizations that contribute to environmental conservation through efficient wastewater management as well as to create a network to integrate the environmental quality management work at the area level. The criteria for assessing the wastewater management of pollution sources are used as a tool to measure the operational efficiency which covering all dimensions of wastewater management of pollution sources, consisting of 1) organizational , environment and resources management, transparency in information disclosure and listening to opinions from public. 2) The operation of the wastewater treatment system that implement according to the measures to meet the standards. The ongoing administrative control and a systematic improvement plan. 3) Wastewater quality control to meet the standards required by law and the water that has been treated has been utilized. The results of the assessment in 2022 found that there were 655 pollution sources participating in the assessment, 52 of which have passed the gold level assessment, 37 silver levels and 26 copper levels, totaling 115 organizations. Wastewater management evaluation criteria of pollution sources are operational efficiency measures, covering all dimensions of wastewater management of pollution sources regardless category of business or industry. There are wide variety of operators such as hospitals, gas stations, retail businesses, local government agencies, sub-district administrative organizations, municipalities, prisons and military departments. The participants consisted of owners, occupiers or representatives of pollution sources which passed the criteria for assessing wastewater management at the “gold level” for the year 2022 who entered to achieve the gold plaque, the Executives of the Pollution Control Department, Executives of the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion and officials under the Pollution Control Department.
